It has been just over a month that I lost my job.  It has been just over a month that I gained a new appreciation for stay-at-home moms.

Losing a job is a bad thing.  In my case there is a positive side to this bad situation.  Since I was granted two months of severance pay I have been able to enjoy a couple of days a week staying at home and taking care of four month old Taylor.  It has been such a blessing to have this extra time to bond that I otherwise would not have had.  Christina and I both feel that God perfectly timed this “bad situation” so that I would be able to spend quality time with our new bundle of joy.

While there are the stresses and demands of taking care of a baby, cleaning and cooking; the joy that comes from my time at home with Taylor greatly overshadows those stresses.

Now, as I look for a job, I can’t help but feel sad that I will soon have to return to work.  But as the saying goes, “All good things must come to an end.”
