The Mexico Minute

We are excited to present the new format for our ministry updates.  We will be delivering our praises and prayer requests via video clips.  We try to keep them short (hence The Mexico MINUTE).  We hope that it will be a new and exciting way to keep people engaged with our ministry and will attract more people to learn about what we will be a part of in Mexico City.

Stay tuned for more videos!

I now pronounce you…

After two years it is finally complete!  I finished a ministerial licensing process through Grace Baptist Church.  It consisted of lots of reading and research which resulted in a 22 page paper about my beliefs on theology.  This process really helped me to formulate my thoughts and beliefs on certain issues which will benefit the rest of my life and ministry.

The process culminated in a discussion of theology, the knowledge and practical implication of Biblical doctrine.  I had to sit with Pastor David Hegg and three of the elders at Grace Baptist and spend an hour and a half backing up my beliefs.  I was nervous to say the least.

I am now a licensed minister through Grace Baptist!  I feel accomplished and humbled.

Summer Adventure

Next week begins Summer Adventure (VBS) at Grace Baptist Church.  It will be a fun week where kids will learn about Jesus’ authority and how God the Father and God the Son are the same person, yet have distinct roles.  I (James) am fortunate enough to be available to be helping in the first grade.  I am looking forward to interacting with the kids, helping them learn about God, and have some fun.

Christina and I were so blessed and humbled to be chosen as the featured missionaries for Summer Adventure!  This means that we will help the kids to learn about how God is working in other countries.  The kids will also be competing (boys vs. girls) to see who can raise the most money for us!  God is so good and we are so excited to be a part of this!

Please be praying for the kids this coming week, that they would see the truth of the Word, and that they would have an excitement for missions and evangelism.

2014 Came and Went

With assurance I can say that 2014 was the fastest year of my life.  I blinked and it was gone.  And if I were a betting man, I would say that 2015 will be faster than 2014.  Between the coming of our second child and leaving for the mission field (projected in August) I am sure that this year will be a blur.

Please be praying for us as we continue to develop partners in order to make it onto the field by August.
